2025-2026 Rockwell Spelling Bee--Join the Buzz!
PTA is excited to announce the upcoming 2025-2026 Rockwell Spelling Bee, proudly sponsored by the Rockwell PTA! This free, volunteer-run event is designed to foster a love of spelling and select one outstanding student to represent Rockwell at the regional Spelling Bee in Seattle.
Who can participate?
Students in grades 2–5 are invited to take part in the qualifier test on Friday, November 7 (AM and PM sessions based on grade). From this test, the top 40 scorers will be invited to compete in the final Rockwell Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 21, from 9:00 AM to noon (tentative date) in our Rockwell gym.
Important Notes
- There will be a special “Mini Bee” for our youngest spellers (K-1) in the spring.
- There are no make-up tests for absences due to vacation or illness.
- Dates and times are subject to change based on space availability, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
Next Steps
- Please complete the registration form below by Friday, October 10 to sign up for the qualifier test.
- The study word list will be sent to all registered families on October 10.

The Rockwell Spelling Competition is almost here, and we’re counting down with some fun! Join our Spelling Bee Club and try our weekly word searches—perfect for growing vocabularies.
An optional enrichment activity, words come from the 2025-2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee list to help our competitors practice their words.
Have your student complete the puzzle, jot down definitions or sentences, practice spelling out loud! Snap a pic with your student’s name and teacher, and send it to Janet at enrichment@normanrockwellpta.
