School of Excellence
Since 2018, Norman Rockwell Elementary has been recognized as a School of Excellence by the National PTA. Based on research showing that increased family engagement helps school improvement and student achievement, the School of Excellence program provides a structured way for our school to commit to building an inclusive and welcoming community. Process
In late October we invite families to respond to an online survey assessing how we’re doing. Based on the results, we identify areas of improvement and an action plan that we commit to implement throughout the remainder of the year. In late Spring, we again assess how we’re doing.
