About

The Math Challenge is a free, PTA-sponsored program open to all Rockwell students. Its goal is to make math fun and engaging while encouraging students to think critically and work together. Many families enjoy solving the challenges together — it’s a great way to make math a family activity!

Throughout the school year, students can participate in 15 challenge sets, each released every other week from late September/early October through May. Each challenge includes 15–18 problems, arranged from easiest to most difficult, so students from all grade levels can participate.

How It Works:

  • Look for announcements in the Bugle every other Monday for the newest challenge.
  • Print the challenge from the provided link, complete it, and return it to your teacher or email it to mathchallenge@normanrockwellpta.org by the due date.
  • After each challenge, lucky winners are randomly selected from each grade level!

End-of-Year Awards:

  • Students who complete 12–14 qualified challenges earn a prize.
  • Students who complete all 15 qualified challenges earn a special award!
  • To qualify, students must have the required number of correct answers for their grade level — but we encourage everyone to try extra problems for fun and for a better chance at prizes!
