We are proud to have been a National PTA School of Excellence since 2018!
11125 162nd Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052
Tanya has a son in 5th grade and a daughter in 2nd grade. She is new to PTA Board but has been enjoying volunteering for the school. Tanya is a UX Designer who is learning how to support PTA website as a webmaster this year.
Susan has been in Rockwell community since 2021 and this is her 6th year as the PTA Emergency Preparedness Chair. She has two boys: one is a 3rd grader at Rockwell, and the other is a 6th grader at RMS. She is passionate about educating students and families on how to be more prepared for emergencies in our area and assists Rockwell staff with the school’s emergency supplies.
Susan brings a variety of experience from previously holding administrative and teaching positions in elementary and middle schools in CA, AZ and even Japan! She has a BFA in Art History from the University of Kansas and also teaches in the art docent program. She also loves event planning and Heritage Night is one of her favorites!
Susan is also a substitute Para/Instructional Assistant at LWSD (Rockwell is her favorite place to work at!).
In her spare time, she enjoys catching up on podcasts, taking family bike rides along the Sammamish River Trail, and enjoying all that the PNW has to offer.
Hanaa is in her third year serving as the VP of Fundraising, and she is incredibly grateful for how generous the Rockwell community continues to be! Reach out to Hanaa at fundraising@normanrockwellpta.org to learn how you can support Rockwell’s programs and infrastructure (including the new playground!).
Hanaa has three kids: two at Rockwell in third and fifth grades and a ninth grader at Tesla STEM. She works in the journalism and technology space, loves a craft, and has recently started fostering dogs through Seattle Humane.
Hi Rockwell families! I’m Klint Van Cleemput, and while you might know me as your physical education teacher, this is my very first year serving on the PTA. I am stepping into the Enrichment role and am incredibly excited to bring in numerous learning opportunities for all students before, during, and after school based on their interests. Outside of teaching PE and building PTA enrichment programs, I enjoy spending time with my family and diving into a wide mix of hobbies. Whether it’s playing sports, chess, and video games, or exploring robotics, coding, cooking, collecting cards, and traveling around the world, I love staying active and curious. I can’t wait for a great year ahead!
Kainoa is the VP of Volunteer Services. This is her third year in the role at Rockwell, and she has previously held board roles in volunteering, membership, and events, as well as room parent duties. She has a son entering high school at RHS and a son in the 3rd grade. Kainoa is looking forward to another year of supporting volunteers and relationship-building with families in the Rockwell community!
Outside of school Kainoa works in the non-profit, social services sector. She has an unhealthy obsession with books (reading them, buying them, borrowing them), acts as her kids Uber driver for their sporting events and hang outs, and has a love hate relationship with the family cat.
This is Natalia’s third year on the PTA Board. She will be working on the School of Excellence application process. Natalia has a daughter in 3rd grade, so she’s still learning a lot about the ins and outs of school and joining the PTA is a great way to do that! She hopes to contribute to making Rockwell an enriching and inclusive school for all families.
Natalia grew up in Poland and has also lived in Spain and Argentina. Her professional experience is in international education. She works at the University of Washington Bothell, promoting global engagement opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. She enjoys traveling – in person and through reading – skiing, hiking, and baking.
