Room Parents play an important role in building community within each classroom. They work with fellow parent volunteers to plan and coordinate four classroom celebrations throughout the year: the Halloween Party, Valentine’s Day Party, Staff Appreciation Week, and the End-of-Year Party. They also help coordinate an optional year-end gift for the classroom teacher.

New this year, the PTA will provide a stipend of $10 per student to help cover the cost of these events. If Room Parents choose to plan activities beyond the provided budget, they may request additional (optional) contributions from class families. 

Room Parents also serve as the communication link between the PTA and classroom families. They are asked to set up a class WhatsApp group to share important updates and information from the PTA, as well as to help organize special acknowledgments such as teacher birthdays and Teacher Appreciation Week.  Please contact your room parents to request to be added to your classroom WhatsApp group.
