Mission Statement: Rockwell PTA strives to enrich and advocate for the lives of our students and community, by providing increased opportunites and resources for a safe and healthy learning environment.  

PTA (Parent Teacher Association) - is a partnership comprised of parents, teachers, and community members. Our strong PTA membership is one of the many wonderful things about the Norman Rockwell community.  Thank you to all our members for their commitments of time, money and talent in making our PTA strong.  If you have forgotten to join this year, it is not too late                                                             membership forms are available online and in the office. 

  • WHAT DOES ROCKWELL PTA DO?  We organize to make Norman Rockwell a better place for our children by providing financial and volunteer support for the following Rockwell programs and many more:  Chess Club, Salmon in the Classroom, grade level grants for educational enrichment, field trip support, Math in Action, art docents, local author visits, yearbook, and the weekly Bugle newsletter. Additionally we plan many special family events throughout the year. Board members meet monthly to discuss, approve and vote on grant requests and to discuss PTA matters.
  • WHO CAN JOIN?  You can, as a parent or guardian of a student enrolled at Rockwell.  In addition, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors (without or with grown children), and teachers can join. Joining the PTA is not the same thing as being on the board. We rely on our entire Rockwell community to join the PTA to help support our school activities. 
  • WHY JOIN?  Because without the PTA, many of the fantastic programs listed above would not exist.  In addition to providing funds for the above programs, your membership dues help pay for the cost of insurance coverage, without which the liability to run these programs would be too great. 
  • PTA provides a state-level voice to the legislature and on committees addressing public policy issues affecting families and children.
  • You’ll get to know the wonderful Rockwell staff and become more familiar with the inner workings of the school.

  • HOW TO JOIN Many of you already joined when you filled out your first-day packet, but you can join anytime.  Join online by clicking on Join Today (on the PTA button on the left) or request a form at the office. You may pay online or send in a check to school made payable to Norman Rockwell PTA  for $18.00/individual or $30.00/couple membership. (Send it to school with your child in a sealed envelope labeled PTA membership. )
