Welcome to the Norman Rockwell Elementary PTA. We are happy to serve our school community as board members because we love this school! The Board meets monthly - please contact any of us if you would like to attend a board meeting or bring something up for discussion.

Cydney is new to the role of President. Over the past two years, she has worked as the Disability Awareness chair and has been an active volunteer with the PTA as an art docent and coordinating Teacher Appreciation Week. Cydney has two children at Rockwell, a son in 4th grade and a daughter in 2nd grade. In addition, she has a 3 year old daughter who is eager to join us at Rockwell in the future. If she had any spare time, Cydney dreams of reading books, sewing, working with her hands on home DIY projects, and spending time in the outdoors exploring with her husband and their three kids. |

Rose is serving as Vice President. She has one son in 5th grade and a daughter in 1st Grade. She is a Brit loving life here in the PNW. It's her third year on the PTA Board. |

This is Sharayu’s first year serving on PTA as Treasurer. She has twin daughters going into the third grade this fall. She has been a Rockwell mom for the past seven years, as her older daughter was a Rockwell student as well. Pre-Covid, Sharyu was an active volunteer for class parties, and she thoroughly enjoys working at Rockwell in any capacity. |

Katie is the VP of Communications. She and her husband have a daughter in 4th grade and a son in 1st grade at Rockwell. This is Katie's first year on the PTA Board and she is excited to be further involved with the Rockwell community! Katie works for the City of Mercer Island and in her downtime loves reading, watching movies, and going on adventures with her family! |

Funds Allocation Co-Chair Denice Gagner
|
Denice is the Funds Allocation Chair. She has a daughter in 6th grade and a son in 4th grade. She’s been a proud member of the Rockwell PTA since 2017 and a board member since 2019. She works as a criminal defense attorney and loves to play poker on the weekends. She loves reading and is excited to help with the book fair this year. |

My name is Janet Vuong and I am serving as the VP of Academic Enrichment this school year. Trained in the health sciences, I am now a stay-at-home parent to my two boys ages 7 and 5. My experiences at Rockwell include volunteering as room parent, acting as a recess wrangler, and helping the Running Club. Outside of school, I am an active volunteer at Redmond Toddler Group, where I have helped for 6 years.

Lani is currently serving as VP of Membership. She is a mother of an 8-year-old son who is in 3rdgrade and a daughter who is a 7th grader at Redmond Middle School. This marks Lani's sixth year of active participation in the PTA, and she remains enthusiastic about contributing to the community that greatly enhances the quality of the school. Outside of her PTA responsibilities, Lani holds the position of an Executive Producer at Xbox Games Studio. At present, she is engrossed in the development of an undisclosed game project.

Nicole is serving as Legislative Advocate. She and her husband, Anthony have an 11 year old son in 6th grade and a 5 year old daughter starting kindergarten at Rockwell. This is Nicole’s first year on the PTA Board. Outside of PTA, Nicole manages a Microsoft Azure Engineering team. She enjoys Peloton, cooking, reading, and snuggling her dog, Mojo. |
