Cinderella Rockin' the 80s!

Show Performances on April 27th 2024 at 2 & 6 pm


Participation in the drama production is a popular Rockwell tradition for 4th and 5th graders, and with a no-cut PTA activity policy, all of the first 30 registered cast students with payment and/or a scholarship request will be guaranteed a spot. Registration and payments will be accepted early if you attend the Parent Meeting on January 17th at 7:00 pm in-person at the Rockwell Gym. Cast registration online opens to all on January 29th to February 2nd and will only be available only until space is filled or on February 2nd at noon, whichever comes first.

Student participation also involves the following parent volunteer commitments:

  1. Attend the mandatory parent meeting on January 17th at 7pm in the Rockwell Gym
  2. Be a Rockwell PTA member (scholarships available)
  3. Be an approved LWSD volunteer (Application online through
  4. Minimum of 3-6 volunteer hours to chaperone rehearsals (2 rehearsals)
  5. Participate on a committee to help with the production

Please review the important dates, calendar, and parent volunteer commitments to determine if this activity is a good fit for your family. A schedule of specific rehearsal call times for cast members will be made available at the beginning of each week during the rehearsal months.

We're expecting the following schedule:


  • Auditions: February 7 (2:30-4:00) and 8 (4:00-5:30) 
  • Callbacks: February 12 and 13 (4:00-5:30) 
  • Rehearsal Dates: February 26 – April 26 
  • No Rehearsal: April 8-12 for Spring Break
  • Weekly Schedule: 4:00-5:30 (Mon, Tue, Thur) and 2:30 - 4:00 (Wed) 
  • Tech Week: April 22-26 at Redmond High School, 5:00-8:00  
  • Performances: April 27 at Redmond High School's theater

Cast members may not be called to attend rehearsal every day.

Limited conflicts are allowed during rehearsals. However, no conflicts are allowed from April 22 through the final performance on April 27.

Drama Production  FAQ’s

Who can participate in the production? 

All 4th and 5th grade Rockwell students are invited to participate.

Can I participate in sports and the musical?

Because of extensive schedule conflicts, students participating in a sport will not be available to participate in the musical because of the schedule conflict. You are allowed 2 excused absences from rehearsals if arranged ahead of time.

What are the participant’s fees? 

The fee, payable to Rockwell PTA, is due with registration as follows: 

$215 for cast members

How do I register?

An email with the registration link will be sent to the address provided at the parent meeting. Once registration is confirmed, another email will follow with audition information. 

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Refunds can be issued up to the point of the first day of rehearsal (before February 26th).

What if I have other activities that I’m committed to? 

Occasional conflicts are allowed, but substantial conflicts may affect the role offered. A conflict calendar will be filled out in conjunction with your registration form. 

What are the Parent committees I can choose from?

Help where you like! Choose from the following committees: Cast Party, Concessions, Costumes, Fundraising, Hair & Makeup, Photography, Programs & Shout Outs, Set & Props, Show Day Meals, Star Grams, Tickets & Publicity, and more! Detailed descriptions of committee responsibilities and sign-ups will be available at the Parent Meeting on January 17th.
