One important way to support our school through Rockwell PTA is to volunteer your time. No experience is needed. Make sure that you are ready to volunteer before school starts by filling out a LWSD Volunteer Application here or checking your status AND showing proof of your COVID vaccination in our school office. Your volunteer status will expire after 2 years, at which time you will receive an email notice from the Raptor System to renew.
New and Experienced "Recess Wranglers" are needed for October:Sign Up Here. Volunteers help coordinate recess activities, games or crafts for kiddos in a certain area or just monitor play for an area of the playground. Kids love having parents join for recess.
Unity Day Picture Takers on Wednesday, October 19th: We need 10 parents to help with morning and lunch shifts as Picture Takers. A favorite part of Unity Day is taking an instant photo with friends and getting the photo as a memento of the day. Thanks for helping make Unity Day memorable for our kids. Book Fair Volunteers Oct 10-20: Volunteers can work at the cash registers, act as floaters-helping families/students find books or help with set up and tear down of the fair. Sign up here to help with the Book Fair!
Running Club Volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays especially in November: Volunteers are needed to help monitor and assist students with punch cards on laps being completed, supervise and award prizes to students who reach running milestones. Additional help is needed to take down the course at the end of the each event. Sign up here for Running Club help!
Spring Play Volunteers:
Calling all parents of 4th and 5th grade thespians! We are already starting the process of selecting the theater production for the spring of 2023, and we need your help!
There are lots of large and small volunteer opportunities to get this production going, so please email Mansi (events@normanrockwellpta.org) if you are interested in helping our students with another wonderful theater experience!
