Thank You Rockwell Teachers and Staff!

May 2-6 is Teacher Appreciation Week!

Let's show our Rockwell teachers and staff how much we appreciate their tremendous work and dedication. Your PTA has been hard at work planning a full week of activities to celebrate our Rockwell teachers. See the calendar of events below. PLEASE donate today to ensure we have the funds available to spoil our teachers as they deserve!  

• Sunday, May 1 - We’re creating a “red carpet” welcome for teachers! Students and their families are invited to join us at Rockwell on Sunday afternoon for a sidewalk chalk party (exact time TBD). We will decorate all the teachers’ parking spots and write chalk notes around the school telling teachers and staff how much we love and appreciate them.
• Monday, May 2 - "Kids bring cards" We’re asking all students to bring a card to class for their teacher. IA’s will make a special breakfast for the teachers. 
• Tuesday, May 3 - "Kids give flowers" Room parents will provide a vase and a bouquet of flowers. Each child will be given a flower to present to their teacher in the morning.
• Wednesday, May 4 - "Beach day" Kids can bring artwork, a toy, or dress for the beach! Your PTA is hosting a boxed lunch for all teachers and staff. Please donate to help support this special meal for our staff who’ve worked tirelessly in this difficult & ever-changing school year!
• Thursday, May 5 -  “Classroom supplies day” We’re asking parents to send in classroom supplies (room parents will check with individual teachers on specific supplies needed). Room parents will bring baskets to hold all the supplies that each student brings for their teacher.
• Friday, May 6 - "Treat your teacher to coffee" Please donate to help fund the coffee cart for our teachers and staff. Room parents will help coordinate teacher gifts from each classroom. As well, the PTA is hosting “chair massages” for teachers.
• All Week! All Week! "Virtual Recipes Sharing”. What is your go-to Friday night dinner? Our teachers and staff are busy and need new recipe ideas! Please type out your favorite recipe and email it to TAW@NormanRockwellPTA.org. Your PTA will curate a special recipe book for our teachers!

The “thank you” lunch boxes and coffee cart will be funded through the PTA website. Please donate directly to the PTA here -> and we will take care of the rest! Please participate to help our teachers and staff feel all the love and appreciation they deserve!
