CALLING ALL MATHLETES!

Registration for Spring NLMC 2018 is now open. For those who are new to this math contest, please read following info about NLMC below.

The Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) is a semiannual problem solving contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

Students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems.

Recognition and Awards

National Honor Roll Medal: The top 10% of all participants (nationally) in each grade will receive 'National Honor Roll' medals.

Team Winner Medal: the highest scorer of each grade level will receive a 'Team Winner' medal.

We host this contest for grade 2- 5 at our gym on Monday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Participation Fee: $12

I recommend this contest to all Rockwell's malthletes. This contest is good especially for new competitors as it's not too rigorous. It's also short and straight forward (20 problems in 45 minutes). For experienced competitors, I would challenge them to get 100% (usually only 1-2 out of every 60 kids can achieve this).

REGISTRATION

Please register your student accordingly (by grade). Seats are limited, and it's first come first served.  Questions? Contact Elly Sarwono at Math in Action.
